{Exclusive Cover Reveal} The Onyx Talisman by Brenda Pandos

Well I am not going to waste your time I am just going to get right down to it...here it is:

 Isn't it absolutely beautiful?

What's that you say? You want more info on the book? Well I am...not...not going to give it to you so yes I guess I am going to spoil you guys by giving you a summary!

All was perfect in Julia’s life until Nicholas had his vampire blood-lust activated by his mother Alora, her immortal enemy, turning him evil and bent on revenge. Heartbroken and out of choices, Phil and Julia ran away in the middle of the night, with Scarlett on foot, to Orange County to warn and plead Nicholas’ Godfather for help. Once arriving at Harry’s though, the local coven accosted them and they narrowly escaped.
After they returned home, there was a huge showdown between Phil, Nicholas, Scarlett, Alora, Katie and Julia. Alora almost got what she wanted—Julia’s vampire warding talisman—but Preston, Nicholas’ father, and Harry came to the rescue. They escorted Nicholas and Alora back to Beverly Hills, pledging to return Nicholas free from his blood-lust. But all Julia’s received in the past four months is a letter stating Nicholas missed her along with some song lyrics and promise of a quick return. That was a month ago.

Now Julia awaits Nicholas’ return with the Fab Five Coven: Phil and Katie—the sober vampires, Scarlett—the half-vamp/shape-shifter, and Tyler and Julia—the inducted humans. She’s stuck in Scotts Valley with Phil as her self-appointed chaperon and no way to return to Los Angeles to check on Nicholas. Only Scarlett and Julia know her fate ultimately involves the demise of all vampires, possibly including the ones she loves. When the time comes, will she even have a choice?

Find out in the final installment of the bestselling Talisman Series November 16, 2011!

{Review} Daimon by Jennifer Armentrout

Release Date: 22 April 2011
Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
Age Group: Young Adult
Pages: 86
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Buy the Book: Amazon

For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards… and that she'll never be prepared for that duty. According to her mother, that’s a good thing. But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill. The daimons have found her.

My thoughts:

This story was incredible right from the beginning, the writing with leave you breathless, it is descriptive, witty and charming all at once. The way in which information is given to the reader is surely not an information dump it is given in such a way that all the terminology is able to be digested by the readers.

I have seen according to Leigh Fallon that there are some smoking hot scenes (did I really just say that?) and let me tell you that there are for sure in Daimon! The characters are very well rounded and Alex had me right from the beginning.

Armentrout writes in such a way that you are able to imagine the story vividly without try to create the images in your mind and the story flows effortlessly! The description is fantastic and I did not have one problem at all with this story!

The story has very interesting concepts and I think that it was a great way to promote Half-Blood by releasing this free prequel! This story was so addictive and I really cannot wait to read Half-Blood. By the way if you read Daimon I am positive that you will end up being really intrigued by the story as well as all of the books titles and how they are actually named after things that can be found in the books. I loved this and found it interesting. This was a great read overall and I am positive that many people will love it. Look out for Half-Blood!
