Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn't understand that once love--the deliria--blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Haloway has always looked forward to the day when she'll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: she falls in love

I really did love this book and this book has made me fall even more in love with dystopian novels. This book was simply beautifully exquisite and had me hooked to the point of no return. Oliver has not failed to impress me with this emotional roller coaster ride of a novel.

I really loved the concept of this book and thought that it was well applied. Lena and all the characters seem exceptionally well written and realistically believable. I really liked how the reader really gets a taste of Lena’s emotions and how she changes throughout the book.

Oliver has me wanting more with this book and has made me decide to try and buy Before I Fall, her writing is simply astounding and beautiful in all the ways you can imagine.

Again back to the concept, I really liked this idea and how it translates in to the words on the pages, which seem to flow magically and wonderfully as you are totally absorbed by this story. This is a great book and I recommend that you all read it.

Could you imagine a world where you were cured of love? Would you fight it or enjoy free of something that could cause your heart to break?

  1. Lauren Oliver is amazing. Delirium is one of my favorite reads so far this year. I'm glad you liked it, too. And you should definitely check out Before I Fall--it's fantastic.

  2. I bought this book a couple of months ago and I haven't read it yet. I read the first chapter on my ipad and then went out to buy the book because it was so good. I keep forgetting about it. I should move it to the top of my TBR pile.
