New from #1 New York Times bestselling author Meg Cabot, a dark, fantastical story about this world . . . and the underworld.

Though she tries returning to the life she knew before the accident, Pierce can't help but feel at once a part of this world, and apart from it. Yet she's never alone . . . because someone is always watching her. Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.

But now she's moved to a new town. Maybe at her new school, she can start fresh. Maybe she can stop feeling so afraid.

Only she can't. Because even here, he finds her. That's how desperately he wants her back. She knows he's no guardian angel, and his dark world isn't exactly heaven, yet she can't stay away . . . especially since he always appears when she least expects it, but exactly when she needs him most.

But if she lets herself fall any further, she may just find herself back in the one place she most fears: the Underworld.
My Thoughts:
This was the first book I have ever read by Meg Cabot and it was excellent. Her writing is simply stunning and addictive. This story had me hooked right from the beginning and I certainly recommend it to all of you out there.

This story was both captivating and intriguing. The concept is interesting and well applied; I like the idea of it being based on Greek Mythology. The things I must have enjoyed the most by far was Pierce; the main character. We read from her point of view and you will be totally sucked in to this world and you should enjoy every single moment of it just like I did. The characters were all realistic and you could at least relate to some of them. Pierce was just an interesting way of seeing the story and you feel that she is actually not crazy and then I sort of began to think I was crazy.

The way that Cabot is able to change from the present to the past and go back in to a memory really astounded me, it was done in a very smooth and magic way that still kept you drawn to the words on the page.

This book has the perfect blend of mystery too make you sit on the edge of your seat. I was able to finish this book within more or less two hours all due to the fact that this book was so addictive and I think the cover is absolutely beautiful.

I recommend this book to all of you readers out there. This book was the whole package for me and I hope it is for you two and that is why I have given this book four books!
